If you've realised that your shop's customers don't seem to notice your premises' signs, you can use strip lights to draw attention to your signs. Read on to learn more about this option.

1. Illuminate the signs with Wi-Fi controlled RGB LED strip lights

If you want to draw people's attention, you could get a Wi-Fi controlled RGB LED strip light for each sign. Whilst integrating any type of illumination into your signage will make it more noticeable, this type of light is particularly good at doing this. This strip light can generate a large range of beautiful, bright colours; having a light strip whose lights shift from one lovely colour to another all day long will be more eye-catching than one which features one static hue.

Picking light strips that are Wi-Fi controlled will also give you more flexibility in regards to which signs you can place them over or under. You can, for example, attach them to signs you have in hard-to-reach parts of your shop, such as above a tall shelving unit, as you'll be able to operate the light from a distance while using your Wi-Fi connection. This might be more convenient than having to physically access and touch the light to switch it on or off. As an added benefit, LED lights only use modest amounts of electricity and so you can afford to light up your shop's signs all the time if you want to.

2. Put mirrors beside the illuminated signs

After installing these light strips above or below your signs, you should then place mirrors near the signs. The shifting lights of the RGB light strips will be reflected on the mirrors' surfaces and create the illusion that there is double the number of lights around the signs. This will enhance the light strips' eye-catching qualities and thus help to draw lots of attention to the signs they surround. The mirrors will also reflect the signs' text and potentially enable those who cannot see a sign and its lights directly from their position in your shop to catch a glimpse of it and read its message via this reflection.

If you do this, you'll need to ensure that the mirrors are polished very regularly, as dirt and smudges will dull the reflections and make this attention-grabbing tactic less effective. If the signs are in areas where it is not possible to put mirrors, you can always put small, reflective ornaments (such as faceted glass vases) near them instead, which will have a somewhat similar effect.
